Fair Trade Fortnight happens globally with events, festivals and activities happening all around the world to celebrate the Fair Trade movement and campaign for justice in trade practices and promote sustainable environment and social responsibility.

This year Fair Trade Fortnight will be celebrated in Australia from the 5th to 20th of May 2012. The theme for Fair Trade Fortnight 2012 is “Every Choice Matters”.

Moral Fairground has organised 5 exciting events to celebrate Fair Trade:

- 11th of May 2012 – Atrium Federation Square Fair Trade Markets – Fair trade businesses to showcase their products and services; it will provide opportunities for the thousands of people attending to sample fair trade product, experience what fair trade is all about, interact with the stall holders and learn about the benefits of how every choice matters.
- 11th of May 2012 – BMW Edge Federation Square – Let's Talk a series of talks and forums that aim to stimulate discussion and dialogue
- 11th of May 2012 – Amphitheatre – Federation Square – Fairly Arty Exhibition aims at engaging local university and various disciplines to express “fair trade” via creative mediums
- 13th of May 2012 – City Square – Fair Trade Play event will provide an engaging and interactive experience for children in order to learn about fair trade practices and communities. Mum come along to enjoy a fair trade cup of coffee while the kids are out to play.
- 18th of May 2012 – Docklands NAB Forecourt – The Big Fair Trade Morning Break aims to connect with businesses and people in Docklands to raise awareness of Fair Trade. The morning crowd will be welcomed with the smell of freshly brewed coffee, delicious food, and opportunities to meet some of the wonderful businesses behind Fair Trade.
