Willoughby Symphony’s highly anticipated 2013 season begins with A Night at the Ballet, 7pm, Saturday 9 March, and 2pm, Sunday 10 March, at the Concert Hall on The Concourse, Chatswood.

Following their acclaimed performance accompanying the English National Ballet at The Concourse in 2012, Willoughby Symphony presents a gala celebration of music written for ballet - including Tchaikovsky’s Sleeping Beauty, Swan Lake and The Nutcracker. A Night at the Ballet will be conducted by emerging conductor Daniel Carter from Opera Victoria.

Sydney born Daniel Carter has studied with composer Robin Holloway and Daniel Rojas, and has had music performed by the Sydney Symphony Sinfonietta, the Willoughby Symphony Orchestra and various Youth Orchestras. In 2006, Daniel won the 2MBS Young Composer of the Year and in 2008 was recognised for excellence in composition in the NSW Higher Schools Certificate Examinations.
