Do you want to know more about conservation issues and initiatives on Eyre Peninsula? Have you got a few hours to spare and lend a hand to improve coastal habitat and reduce threat from invasive plants?

The Arno Bay Progress Association and Arno Bay Estuary Group have joined forces to assist with the removal of invasive coastal weeds, revegetation with native plants and marine debris surveys.

Volunteers are needed to help with removing coastal weeds and rubbish from the coastal zone and planting local native plants. This work will ensure that the area stays in a near pristine condition thus providing the utmost protection for the tidal creek, marine life, birds and fauna living in this sensitive area.

Arno Bay is a popular tourist destination on Eyre Peninsula attracting people from all over Australia to enjoying fishing, wildlife viewing and superb coastal scenery.

If you live close by you could assist for a day or two or join us for a 4-night mini break for $208 including accommodation, food and transport from Port Lincoln. Discounts available for Australian Concession Card holders- contact for more information.

This project is part of the Coastal Communities Environment Program made possible by the Federal Government's Caring for Our Country Initiative
