Direct from the Adelaide Festival in his only show outside Adelaide and for the first time in over a decade Atom™ presents his unique vision for the future of music.

Atom™:

There are those who know they will be there no matter what...for everyone else a little background:

Atom™ has been beyond the cutting edge of electronic music for over 20 years. He harbours over 100 pseudonyms ( Atomheart, Flanger, Lisa Carbon, MONO, Datacide, Geez n Gosh, Los Samplers, Erik Satin, Surtek Collective) he may be most widely known for his work as Senor Coconut - which has been heard from Thailands' tiniest Tiki bar to runways in London. It is however, his constantly shifting identity morph that has kept his rabid fans guessing what he'll come up with next. From his musique concrete par excellence of Liedgut to his electro latino glitch fiesta of Los Samplers, Atom™ has defined a new and unusual path through a field of imitation and replication. His cry of
"Composition over Compilation!" speaks volumes to his unrelenting originality and quest beyond the norm.

Atom™ will be performing live with his Akai MPC, an instrument he bought into vogue two decades ago. This will be augmented by an astonishing live video/data show that has had jaws dropping around the world.

In this day of preset electronic music we present to you an audience with one of the highest practitioners of the craft.

Black Lung:

Black Lung, is the toxic, towering and almost two decades old project of Dee Thrussell (also known for his material as Snog and Soma, as well as his soundtracks for films).

Dee Thrussell (formerly known as David Thrussell) has always been a particular figure and outsider in the Australian electronic music scene. Our most successful electronic musician internationally, with innumerable releases on European and U.S labels (Ant-Zen, Ad Noiseam, Kraktronik, Tympanik, Metropolis etc etc). Mixing noise, unique soundscapes and deep distorted beats while exposing his delicate sound design skills, Thrussell will coax strange sounds out of weird vintage gear.

Black Lung is very different and quite unruly, and shows in the great southern land are very rare.
Don't miss this one.

Forces:

From salt, sand and circuitry, Australian industrial dance act Forces return with new single ‘Overland (In My Mind)'.The taut industrial pop of ‘Overland (In My Mind)' propels the listener across an endless terrain; the distant sound of commerce echoes deep in the earth. Taken from their brand new self titled EP, via Siberia Records, 'Overland (In My Mind)’ was produced by the band and mixed by Kim Moyes of The Presets.

Forces have surged to prominence since emerging in 2011, quickly establishing a reputation for confronting live performance coupled with concise and visceral dance music. Forces live highlights include performances at The Sydney Opera house for Vivid Festival, alongside Zola Jesus and Light Asylum, and many shows with their contemporaries including My Disco, Gang Gang Dance and label-mate Kirin J Callinan.
