In the wake of the devastating bush fires in New South Wales, Tommy Emmanuel, the finger pickin’ virtuoso will strum his heart out as he headlines Australian Institute of Music’s (AIM) special Bushfire Benefit at the Bald Faced Stag Hotel on November 17.

Those super quick fingers regularly earn Australia’s two-time Grammy-nominee Tommy Emmanuel the reputation of being one of the best guitarists in the world and now this skillful artist will be joining forces with AIM for bushfire victims.

During this one off event, the mind-blowing musician will be joined by fellow members of the NSW music community including bright new things, Belle and the Bone People and four-piece volcanic rock band Cuervo.

Celebrating the strength of community as the devastating bush fires continue to burn, AIM is encouraging music lovers from far and wide to come together and enjoy the gig and at the same time help raise money for The Salvation Army Bushfire Appeal, which has been pivotal in providing aid.

With 100 percent of the proceeds from the event - which will also feature Darren Percival, Alex Gibson and Katie Carr from TV ratings winner The Voice - going directly to Salvo the event’s feel-good factor will be off the scale.

From the Institute itself, the AIM High School Band, comprising of talented year 11 and 12 students, will take to the stage along with favourites, Civilians and Lana Rita + The Soulbeats.

Tickets are just $25 while AIM students pay a discounted $10 when a student card is presented.
AIM aspires to teach, motivate, and inspire domestic and international students to make significant contributions to the global economy in performing, creative and management arts. In the tertiary program, AIM commits to making contributions to higher education outcomes in Australia and to free intellectual inquiry.
