From 18 – 20 October 2013 we present a series of events floating some big ideas in an atmosphere so conducive to creativity. Prof Randy Stringer: World Heritage Status: what does it mean?

Saturday 19th October after the Barossa Farmer's Market at Vintners Sheds, (12:30-1:30pm) corner of Stockwell and Nuriootpa-Angaston Road at the close of the Barossa Farmers Market Professor Randy Stringer of Adelaide University will talk about the history of the region that has led to a case for World Heritage Listing of the working agrarian lands of the Mouth Lofty Ranges: World Heritage Listing: what does it mean for you?

SUNDAY 20 OCTOBER - Professor Orjan Solvell: Take on giants and win: collaborating through clusters for global relevance ($45)

KEYNOTE CELEBRATION: DMITRE is proud to sponsor international cluster expert Professor Örjan Sölvell as a keynote speaker during the 2013 Adelaide Festival of Ideas which runs from 17-20 October. On Sunday 20th October, Professor Orjan Solvell, globally recognised authority on Michael E Porter’s work on Clusters and Innovation and is internationally regarded as a thought leader in the areas of economic development, business competitiveness, innovation, collaboration and entrepreneurship. He will present at the Farm Function Centre, talking about Innovation, Entrepreneurship and how small businesses collaborate to tackle the giants and win. Lunch at the Farm Function Centre will follow with time to further develop those ideas. There is a cost: a contribution of $45 towards lunch. Professor Sölvell is Professor of International Business at Sweden’s Stockholm School of Economics and Director of its Center for Strategy and Competitiveness and is a keynote presenter at the Adelaide Festival of Ideas.
