Now in its 16th year, the Bluewater Festival continues to attract thousands of locals and visitors from all over Brisbane who come to watch the spectacle of the yachts and enjoy the atmosphere of their favourite festival by the bay.

The festival focuses on entertaining the community and, as its name suggests, celebrating everything to do with sailing and the start of Australia’s second biggest yacht race, the QantasLink Brisbane to Gladstone Yacht Race off Shorncliffe on Good Friday.

Providing even more colour and excitement, the Brisbane to Gladstone Multihull Yacht Race will again be starting from just off the Shorncliffe Pier shortly after the QantasLink race. We are also thrilled that the Brisbane 18ft Skiffs will once again be holding their sailing regatta off Shorncliffe over the Easter weekend.

So, come on down to Lower Moora Park, Shorncliffe for Bluewater Festival Friday from 9am on 29th March to see the spectacle of the sails and enjoy a day of live entertainment, great music, carnival rides, markets, food stalls and heaps of activities for all the family.

In the meantime, be sure not to miss the Bluewater Bayfire Night which kicks off in Lower Moora Park at 4pm on Thursday 28th March and features live entertainment, markets, food and the fabulous Fireworks on the Bay at 7:30pm.

Just opposite Moora Park in the Waterford Building at St Patricks College, Shorncliffe the Bluewater Art Show will surprise and delight you with the quality and quantity of its entries. Opening Thursday 28th March from 6pm – 9pm, the exhibition will continue daily 9am – 3pm Friday 29th to Sunday 31st March inclusive. Feature artist: Chern'ee Sutton.

On top of all this, there will be some great Bluewater Festival Lead Up Events held in and around Sandgate and Shorncliffe during the week preceding Easter...

Fri 22 March: Opening of Bluewater Arts Trail at Mancini Art Gallery, Deagon
Sat 23 March: Bris to Glad Pre-race Cocktail Party at QCYC, Shorncliffe (paid event)
