Branding is an imperative part for any new business, be it online or offline. It is what differentiates one business from the next, gives us relevance, an identity and a position in the market. In an era of crowdsourcing and outsourcing, commissioning designs is easier than ever, but creating a consistent identity can be almost impossible.

Brand guidelines refer to the document containing all of your company's valuable IP, identifying all the characteristics of your business and brand, and outlines what differentiates you from your competitors. It is often refereed to as your brand Bible.

As a startup, we know that you don't have the time or money to commission tier one agencies to write the guidelines for you, but that doesn't mean they are any less essential. In this class you will not only learn why your brand is an imperative part of your business success, but you will be guided through a hands-on brand workshop with feedback and consultation from a branding expert and provided with a template to create your own guidelines.

To the budding entrepreneur, or digital pioneer, this may be the necessary IP needed to make your launch a success.
