The Caxton Street Seafood & Wine Festival adds even more artists to a line-up “breaming” with talent!

Queensland’s biggest street party has already named the likes of Ash Grunwald & Scott Owen, Chance Waters, Tyler Touché, Yung Warriors, The Choirboys, Mental As Anything and Jakarta Criers. But looking to raise significant funds for both the Queensland Floods Appeal 2013 and the Wesley Hospital Prostate Cancer Care program; Caxton Street has added even more grunt to its largest line up to date!

In breaking news, Ash Grunwald and The Living End’s Scott Owen have revealed that they will now be joined by none other than Owen’s band mate, The Living End’s Andy Strachan on drums. In what is a very special set, two of Australia’s most respected acts will join forces to support Caxton Street’s cause.

Get set everybody; the seafood and wine festival has added a touch of nineties’ nostalgia with Jason Singh’s Taxiride spearheading Caxton Street’s second line up. With hit’s at home and a far including “Get Set” and “Creeping Up Slowly”, the Melbourne based outfit are on their way to meet you in their first Queensland show in almost a decade.

London’s award winning hip hop/reggae/dub producer Lotek and Melbourne’s silky smooth Lady Lash combine on the impressive Petrie Terrace Stage; while Sydney’s roots and all Mr Cassidy (also featuring Scott Owen from The Living End) will take charge from the Hale Street end.

James Johnston is returning to the street to kick-off his incredible 50/50 tour. Launching the tour from Caxton Street, he will attempt to play 50 dates in 50 days, across 5 states.

Also appearing on this second announce will be Brisbane’s fastest rising blues outfit Transvaal Diamond Syndicate, who’s high chart action on 4ZZZ’s hottest 100 has seen them listed as the ones to watch in 2013, along with fellow high profile locals His Merry Men, who’s brass laden jazz-pop is a must on festival day. The eccentric and impressive Bullhorn will make their first appearance on the street, with hypnotic brass ensemblesque takes on songs young and old; while Mind Over Matter, fresh off recording with Bliss N Esso are on board with a new breed of hip hop.

NZ’s dance queen, Disko Diva, returns to Caxton Street from across the ditch, Cutloose will be mixing sensational ingredients, both on the pan and on the decks with an exclusive Cut’n’Cook set; while Brisbane’s own banger maestro, Johny Laytex rounds out Caxton Street’s impressive second line up announce for 2013.
With world music acts and the Stadium local stage to be announced in the coming weeks, there are still plenty of acts to be named for this year’s event!
