Christie Lamb is a rising star of Australian Country Music, with hit singles to her name, she was recently announced as the ‘Most Impressive New Talent’ on Country Music Radio Australia for 2012. Her broad appeal and musical prowess have given Christie the opportunity to shine on the nation’s biggest stages. Most recently, she was cast as the Lead Female Vocalist in the national tour of ‘Rock Revolution’, starring the incomparable Jon English.
Christie teamed up with Jon’s son, Jonathan who played guitar, bass, keys, was a featured vocalist and was the show’s Musical Director & Co-Writer. Jonathan has been involved in the music industry since childhood, performing, writing and recording with many high caliber acts including his father and Jonah’s Road.
After 55 stellar performances, the critically acclaimed ‘Rock Revolution’ went on to win the Mo Award for ‘Best Rock Act’ of 2013. On the back of this success, Christie and Jonathan combined their musical expertise to create a spirited, engaging and exciting live acoustic duo.
Since then, the duo has been making a name for itself as a brilliant live act at many venues across Australia. They have been featured artists at The Tamworth, Central Coast, Ballina and inaugural Broadbeach Country Music Festivals, the Pacific Coast Ute Muster, and they have bookings for the upcoming Whittlesea and Red Hill Festivals.
The pair recently returned from a songwriting trip to Nashville, Tennessee, collaborating with some of the most esteemed writers in modern Country Music for Christie’s debut album, being released later this year.
The duo showcase their own brand of pop-infused country rock in fresh, stirring originals and some of country’s greatest hits to give their audiences a truly memorable experience in live entertainment.
