A fresh young talent, Christie Lamb is a rising star of Australian Country Music whose high-energy performances never fail to impress. The past three years has seen Christie given the opportunity to open for the likes of Pink, James Taylor, Carole King, Cat Stevens and Thirsty Merc at the Sydney Entertainment Centre.

Last year she cut her teeth on stages around the nation in front of sell-out crowds alongside the incomparable Jon English. Cast as the Lead Female Vocalist in his Nationwide ‘Rock Revolution’ Tour, Christie was able to successfully showcase her powerful voice, as well as display her prowess on guitar and piano. She earned critical acclaim for her portrayal of artists including Janis Joplin, Tina Turner & Eva Cassidy, displaying her versatility and range as a performer. The show ran for 55 stellar performances and won the Mo Award for ‘Best Rock Act 2013’. During the production, Christie also found time to complete her Bachelor of Music at the University of Western Sydney.

Upon releasing her self-titled debut EP in December 2011, Christie would go on to be announced as the ‘Most Impressive New Talent’ on Country Music Radio Australia for 2012.

Christie’s debut single, ‘Mr Wrong’, has seen considerable success, peaking at #3 for two consecutive weeks on Country Tracks Top 30 and maintained a position in the Top 5 singles chart for an impressive seven weeks. The song, which Christie co-wrote, climbed to the #4 spot on Mildura Hot FM, and would eventually earn a position in the ‘Top Ten Biggest Hits of 2012’ on Australian Country Music Radio. ‘Mr Wrong’ has been doing all the right things.
The follow up single, “Invincible Me”, was released to radio shortly after and continued this run of success, reaching #5 on Cool Country’s Weekly Top Ten, peaking at #6 on Country Tracks Top 30, #3 on Hot Country QLD and ultimately gained the #1 spot on Mildura Hot FM.

Christie’s public profile is accelerating. Taking Jon English’s advice about engaging your audience to heart, Christie maintains a strong connection with her large loyal fan-base both in person and on social media. Alongside her enviable musical talent, Christie’s down-to-earth nature and friendly demeanour has strong appeal. Having previously appeared as a featured artist at numerous Country Music Festivals around the country, including Tamworth, Mildura, the Convoy For Kids and Penrith Truck Shows; she has since been booked for the inaugural Broadbeach Country Music Festival, the Pacific Coast Ute Muster as well as the Ballina, Central Coast, Whittlesea and Red Hill Festivals for 2013/14. Christie is clearly a talent that has been turning heads.

In June 2012, Christie undertook a trip to the Nashville, Tennessee, the capital of Country Music. Whilst there, she introduced herself to the American market by featuring on the Australian Tomkins Showcases daily during the CMA Festival, at Jimmy Buffet’s Magaritaville with fellow Australians Adam Harvey and O’Shea, as well as various songwriter’s showcases along Music Row. The trip proved to be a highly educational experience, as she spent time working with some of the most esteemed and respected songwriters in the business. Christie has recently returned from a second trip to Nashville, where she has been working intensively on new album material.

In the coming months, Christie Lamb will head into the studio to begin the next phase of recording her highly anticipated debut album, which is sure to open an exciting new chapter in her dynamic career.
