Wilma Smith is not only the revered Concertmaster of the Melbourne Symphony Orchestra, but also an enthusiastic chamber player. Her regular chamber music series, Wilma and Friends, showcases a host of talented musicians including Caroline Henbest and Michelle Wood. Today these three artists come together especially for Musica Viva, to present string trios rarely heard on the professional stage, but containing some of their composers’ most engaging music – perfect for a delightful morning.
