For the second year running, Multicultural Arts Victoria in partnership with Brimbank City Council is bringing you its Emerge Festival. An amazing program of free arts and culture will showcase local refugee and emerging communities who now call Brimbank home. Guaranteed to delight the whole family with a talent quest, music, dance, fashion and craft, this free festival will give Brimbank residents the chance to express their cultural pride.

Discover the many flavours, aromas, sounds and colours of multicultural Brimbank as the Errington Community Centre pulsates with a massive afternoon of free eye-opening entertainment.

The afternoon kicks off with a mouth-watering array of delicious cultural foods available from the Errington kitchen, while Brimbank’s talent vies for the top spot on Westside Talent Contest. The festival will feature performances from the Acholi Community, the Burundian Community, Limbs2riddims and many other youth acts, Ras Jahknow Reggae Band and more. Don’t miss a parade of fashion creations and a huge concert of traditional and contemporary dance and music from all over.

Produced by Multicultural Arts Victoria (MAV) in partnership with local governments, Emerge Festival is presented annually in different locations around Victoria to celebrate and acknowledge the important contributions of local newly arrived refugee and emerging multicultural communities. The festival is an outcome of MAV’s Emerge Cultural Hubs program which aims at empowering and creating connections for artists and communities from refugee backgrounds.
