Canberra-based indie-folk pioneers Julia and the Deep Sea Sirens are set to release their forthcoming album, Family Pets, with an east coast tour.

Little Surprises, the first single lifted from the LP saw the outfit Unearthed through Triple J, scoring an exclusive mastercalss with Gotye and Adalita.

JDSS are made up of a menagerie of traditional folk instruments, combined with a pop sensibility and an alt country twang.

Lush vocal harmonies, guitars, banjos, casios and melodic, velvet-handed drums weave in and around Julia’s honest songs about the experiences of love, loss and upbeat moments full of promise.
