Holiday periods are notoriously busy times on South Australian roads. With a large number of South Australians expected to pack up and escape to popular summer holiday destinations these Christmas holidays, RAA will again be assisting motorists in preparation for their summer getaways.

As the weather gets warmer and more people take to the road, break downs increase. RAA’s Road Service Patrols commonly encounter overheated engines, flat tyres, and flat batteries due to air-conditioning running on high during long trips. Some of these issues can be easily prevented by properly preparing your vehicle before a long trip.

To give motorists peace of mind heading into the holidays, RAA will hold ‘pre holiday checking stations’ in locations across metropolitan Adelaide.

RAA experts will offer:

tyre pressure and tread checks
basic fan belt checks
brake fluid checks
coolant and oil checks
windscreen wiper blades and fluid check
battery checks
brake, indicator, fog and reverse lights check
seat belt checks
child restraint fitting checks
licence plates fitted with Plate Safe screws
