Frencham & Smith at Humph Hall

Sun 10 Nov 2013, 3:00pm–5:30pm

Where: Humph Hall, 85 Allambie Road, Allambie Heights, New South Wales

Restrictions: All Ages

Listed by: WayneRichmond

Fred Smith is without question one of Australia's best songwriters and the last time he came to Humph Hall it was, not surprisingly, to a capacity audience. With over 9,000 viewings the YouTube clip of his song 'Sapper's Lullaby' is by far the most popular Humph Hall video clip I've uploaded.

On this occasion Fred will be sharing the stage with longtime sidekick Liz Frencham, playing a range of songs from both his solo, and their shared repertoire.

Fred presents his songs with a wry humour and gentle worldliness earned through the experiences that inform many of his songs. He has spent the last 15 years all over the joint: working in Afghanistan and the South Pacific, touring in North America and travelling the Australian festival circuit. He has released about eight albums, mostly solo, but also collaborations with Liz Frencham and the Spooky Men's Chorale.

On 7th October 2013 he featured on ABC TV's 'Australian Story'.

Liz Frencham is a stunning performer in her own right. A luminous presence, armed with a double-bass and a smile, oozing cheeky Rickie Lee spontaneity and Joni-style honesty, wrapped in gentle Norah Jones soul.

The two of them together will be magic! :-)

Bookings highly recommended as there is is limited seating. Please contact or 02 9939 8802

Formerly the Allambie Heights Uniting Church, Humph Hall is now the private home of Gial Leslie and Wayne Richmond.
