Red Eye Records is throwing a party!

With International Record Store Day fast approaching, we’re excited to present a night at Goodgod Small Club with some of our favourite Sydney bands playing.

Good Heavens unite the divergent musical styles of three of the nation’s most talented rock artists: singer and guitarist Sarah Kelly, formerly of theredsunband, and ex-Wolfmother members, keyboard/bass player Chris Ross and drummer Myles Heskett. The result: a synthesis of ethereal dream-pop with the brute force of acid rock. Their debut album ‘Strange Dreams’ is being released on Vinyl for Record Store Day, on Sydney label Rice Is Nice.

Sprawling guitars and rollicking drums, driven by a no-bullshit production ethic and a strong bond between two mates forms the nucleus of Sydney duo Unity Floors. Having self-released their debut 7” ‘Womens Golf’, they return from travels abroad with brand new single ‘Nice Fit’ and a full-length debut album to be released on Popfrenzy Records mid 2013. Come and check out Sydney’s most endearing band!

Golden pop group Community Radio was formed in 2010 by Cameron Emerson-Elliott. Cameron also plays guitar with noise pop outfit Songs, and indie rockers Youth Group. Understated yet insistent, their self-released debut album ‘Serious Magic’ has been a shop favourite of late. We’re thrilled to have them on board for the night.

We’ll also be having a pop-up record stand, and will be spinning tunes throughout the evening.

Come along for a cool night out on Record Store Day eve!
