Helm Bar Surfers, the Gold Coast’s hottest live music destination, is gearing up for a scorcher of a month.

A bevy of talented live music acts are set to bring the house down throughout October. Barefoot Friday will be striking a chord on Friday October 19 with their acoustic blend of indie and roots. Wednesdays are going to be big with special performances by the laidback Richie Williams on the 16th, free-spirited Nicky Convine playing on the 23rd, and Canadian rockster Paul Atkins here on the 30th. The music starts at 7pm so come down early to stake out the best seat in the house.

Our honey-voiced regular, Jason Delphin, will be back every Monday and soul family, the Hanlon Brothers, will be bringing reggae back on Thursdays from 7pm. You’ll also get double the love to see the weekend off at our chilled CC Sunday sessions with one artist taking the stage at 1pm and another performer at 5pm. Details to be announced on our Facebook page every week.

Having just been announced as the state’s best casual dining destination for 2013 at the Queensland Hotel Awards, you won’t want to pass up a chance to sample the new Spring/Summer menu while you’re here. It includes fresh off the boat seafood offerings like the ocean trout nicoise salad, produce driven sharing plates and mains that pack a punch, such as sticky marinated BBQ pork ribs.

Whether you’re celebrating the end of the week or having a chilled out Sunday session, you’ll find the right live soundtrack at Helm Surfers.
