House Vs Hurricane score nominations for ARIA, JIMA and AMP.

This year has encompassed a string of astonishing achievements for Melbourne hardcore band House Vs Hurricane. July 2012 saw the band return to stages around the country in support of their impressive and critically acclaimed album 'Crooked Teeth' (UNFD). With this latest effort the band have garnered a renewed interest from both peers and fans alike, all while sending a resounding message throughout the industry that the five piece are well and truly back.

As the year draws to a close, House Vs Hurricane have surprised the industry by picking up nominations for Best Hard Rock Album (ARIA), Best Independent Hard Rock or Punk Album (JIMA/AIR) as well as making the cut as part of the final 25 entrants in the Coopers Australian Music Prize.

"We are incredibly overwhelmed with the recent nominations we've received. To be both recognized and in contention for such prestigious awards for our work is something we never saw happening", guitarist Chris Shaw commented on hearing the news.

The recent nomination announcements have complemented the extensive press and impressive response that 'Crooked Teeth' has received since it's release.

After an impressive 25 date tour around Australia, the band was then added to the Big Day Out lineup for 2013, also picking up slots on Pyramid Rock Festival and Breath Of Life in Tasmania.

In late 2012, they have been invited to support punk rock icons Alexisonfire on their final ever shows in Australia at Festival Hall and Hordern Pavilion - a fitting way to end their impressive year.

Crooked teeth is out now.
