Hyatt Regency Perth Melbourne Cup

Hyatt Regency Perth is again preparing for another day of Melbourne Cup celebrations with a fabulous lunch, Champagne bar, live entertainment and of course the race that stops a nation.

Taking place in the hotel’s Grand Ballroom, which will be transformed into Flemington’s iconic Birdcage with the help of Corporate Theatre Productions, the event will also have raffle prizes and a live auction with proceeds going to the Leukaemia Foundation, Hyatt Regency Perth’s charity of choice for the event.

“It is fantastic to be partnering with the Leukaemia Foundation again for this exciting event and we hope through some of the great auction items and raffle prizes, that we’re able to help raise funds which will contribute to on-going research and care for those living in Western Australia with leukaemia and other blood cancers,” says Adam Myott, General Manager of Hyatt Regency Perth.

Guests at the event will enjoy a decedent three course menu, prepared by Hyatt’s talented team of chefs, using seasonal produce and fresh flavours with seafood and beef both on the menu as well as a rich chocolate temptation for dessert. In addition to the food, there’ll be plenty of action, with the big race, live from Flemington, a fashion show with all of the season’s latest looks from Wesley Quarter, prizes for the best dressed and Perth band Proof will have everyone up on the dance floor before the day is over.

The Leukaemia Foundation is the peak body for blood cancer in Australia, funding research and providing free services to support people with leukaemia, lymphoma, myeloma, and related blood disorders. The Foundation receives no on-going government funding and relies on the generosity of the community and corporate sector to fund its Vision to Cure and Mission to Care.
