Wollongong Blues Club will be holding their next Blues Club event to coincide with International Blues Music Day. This inaugural, world wide event is to be held yearly to celebrate the revered, musical art form that is Blues Music – the very foundation of Western, popular music that we all enjoy today. As the great B.B. King once said, 'Blues is the roots, the rest is the fruits'.

The WBC has registered their gig with the organization behind this event and if you go to their website you will see our inclusion listed amongst many others from around the world.

The Wollongong Blues Club Band with special guests Ewan Sommerville (to be inducted Patron of WBC and Honorary Life Member) and Illya Szwec will be performing on the night. This will be a great night for music fans to listen, discuss, dance, play and enjoy all things blue!
