Learn how to design backyard systems to grow food for your family and friends.

This two-day course focuses on practical implementation as well as the theory behind permaculture – the history, principles, design skills and the things that make ‘permaculture’ happen.

Topics include:
- What is permaculture?
- Soil
- Climate
- Zone Planning
- Sector analysis
- Suburban strategies
- Kitchen gardens
- Food forests

We take a look at what you can do in a suburban backyard or small-scale acreage property, and cover solutions for renters and people living in apartments with only a balcony to garden on too!

Our teaching crew includes Nick Huggins and Colin McLean, certified Permaculture and PRI teachers with many years experience teaching and within the field. More information on teachers.
