All the old engines and steam-powered machinery at the Redwater Steam and Heritage Railway in Sheffield have been warming up for months in preparation for this one.
The steam machinery will be donning faces as they throw a party for the district's kids. Roland the Roller, Claude the Kraus steam loco and all their friends will be available for free rides and will put on theatrical performances.
Organisers are determined to provide a cheap family-based day out so entry is $30 per family (for unlimited kids) or $10 per person. Entry includes all the free steam train rides you can handle, other free kids' entertainment and a free sausage sizzle. Plus, there's plenty more to keep the kids organised for the day in a safe enclosed space where mum and dad can relax over a coffee.
Includes:
- Free steam train rides all day
- Free jumping castle
- Free lolly scramble
- Free sausage sizzle lunch
- Steamroller tug-o-war
- Model train displays
- Theatrical performances by the steam machinery
