SThey say laughter is the best medicine, and what better way to shake those winter blues and ring in the spring than a dose of Aussie comedy, Live At Your Local?

Knock Knock Comedy is the perfect remedy, bringing comedy right to your doorstep, featuring the cream of the crop from this country’s thriving comedy scene.

For one night a month over spring, some of our best-loved funny guys and gals, will deliver the laughs at your favourite Live At Your Local venue, as part of the travelling road show that is Knock Knock Comedy.

Each Knock Knock Comedy show will feature a line-up of some of our finest stand-up comics, including an MC to keep the funny bones tickled in between sets.

It’s September and time to get silly with the Queen of Australian comedy, Fiona O’Loughlin, and your MC for the night, “Dirty Laundry Live” host, Lawrence Mooney.

An icon of the Australian and International stand-up comedy scene, Fiona O’Loughlin has built her career performing at the world’s highest profile comedy festivals, TV programs and comedy venues.
She brilliantly interweaves storytelling into her routine, which has earned her rave reviews and prime slots around the world including her own headline show at LA’s renowned Improv Comedy Club and repeat seasons in Hong Kong, Edinburgh Fringe, Montreal’s invitation-only Just For Laughs and the UK’s oldest, Leicester Comedy Festival.

Fiona’s also been a hit on the telly with guest appearances on Sunrise, Good News Week, Spicks and Specks, The Circle, Talkin’ ‘Bout Your Generation, The World Stands Up, Celebrity Apprentice and a heap of Comedy Festival Galas.

Lawrence is one of our best-loved home-grown comedians – a familiar face on Australian television and featured regularly on Spicks and Specks, Can of Worms and as a regular Brains Trust member on The Einstein Factor. He has an uncanny ability to connect with an audience and set the right tone for the night. With an encyclopaedic knowledge and quick wit, his sage advice on the prickly topic of women was a highlight of the ABC’s Agony Uncles and Agony Guide to Life. His insightful one man show, ‘Lawrence of Suburbia’ won rave reviews at the 2012 Melbourne International Comedy Festival, and featured in the Warehouse Comedy Festival broadcast for ABC2.

Special guests on the debut edition of Knock Knock Comedy are Greg Fleet and Dave Williams.
Greg Fleet is a living legend of Aussie comedy, one of the most experienced and popular stand-up comics currently working the world stage. Fleety’s versatility has made him a regular on television and radio as well as the stage, with roles in sitcoms, soapies and dramas as well as frequent appearances on chat shows and televised comedy showcases like festival galas, comedy debates and panels shows. He’s been both a regular guest and host on breakfast, afternoon and drive radio, and his acting talent has seen him in Shakespeare – both the real thing, and comedic parodies thereof – to excellent effect as well as appearing in other serious and comic drama.

Award-winning Dave Williams is the self-professed James Bond of comedy. Sharp, witty and charismatic – Dave has been working in comedy for over 15 years throughout Australia and the U.K, winning awards ever since he started. His professional yet light-hearted approach to comedy has made him a favourite opener for performers like Wayne Brady and Michael Buble.

David has played the Melbourne International Comedy Festival each year since 1999 with a new show each year - a testament to his writing ability. He was chosen to perform in The MICF Montreal Show Case and the Australian MICF Road show which tours all around Australia.
