Jákup Lützen, violin, viola and Kristian Blak, keyboard.

Kristian Blak is a central figure in the Faroe Islands musical life. Since the 70s Kristian has toured widely with folk bands Spælimenninir and Kvonn as well with his own ethno jazz band Yggdrasil.
Over the last few months Kristian has performed in Estonia, Iceland, Northernmost Greenland, USA, Austria, Canada and Germany.

Jákup Lützen joined Kristian and other musicians in Faroe as a young child, and has developed to be a very versatile musician. Still studying viola at the Royal Danish Conservatory in Copenhagen Jákup also plays folk music and improvised music.

In the classical world Jákup plays chamber music. During the month of March 2013 Jákup will be performing with the Vienna based 'Gustav Mahler Youth Orchestra' on its extensive European tour.

On the tour to Australia, Jákup & Kristian will play traditional folk and new folk music and folk dance music from the Faroe Islands as well as music from other Nordic countries.
