In 1962, direct from a season at Peter Cook’s Establishment Club in London, Lenny Bruce arrived in Australia to find that Sydney was far from Soho. Banned from performing after one sensational show, crucified by the media and harassed by Vice Squad detectives, the pioneering U.S. comedian spent 13 days trapped in Kings Cross, searching for jazz, drugs, companionship and a stage.

The Tamarama Rock Surfers invite you to come and experience a show like no other as they once again present the mind expanding musings of playwright Benito Di Fonzo (The Chronic Ills of Robert Zimmerman) in the brand new work Lenny Bruce: 13 Daze Un-Dug in Sydney 1962. Directed by Lucinda Gleeson (The Chronic Ills…, Crushed), Lenny will prowl the stage at the Bondi Pavilion Theatre from 10 April – 4 May, 2013.

Starring Sam Haft, Lenore Munro, Damien Strouthos and Dorje Swallow
