Catherine Fox is the former Deputy Editor of the Australian Financial Review Boss Magazine and the author of recently published 7 Myths about Women and Work.

Her book examines the harmful assumptions made about women in the workplace and why dismantling these ideas will help forge a better workplace for us all.

Catherine is one of Australia’s most sought after speakers and in this breakfast presentation for AIM, she will dispel the main myths: that we work in meritocracies; that the gender pay gap is exaggerated; that women lack ambition; that women should act more like men; that quotas/targets are a bad idea; that there are not enough women and that time will heal all.

Those attending will acquire a way of looking at workplace dynamics that doesn’t paint women as victims or men as enemies but shows how traditional workplace practices and attitudes keep us from doing our best and having more successful and satisfying working lives.
