An intimate confession from a woman who risked everything to save the life of the person she loved. It is a show filled with love, loss, telemarketing and cleaning products.

Not a Very Good Story is Stephanie’s story.

Stephanie worked the late shift at a call centre and had a crush on the cleaner who worked in her office.

Then something horrible happened and Stephanie tells you all about it. It’s not a very good story. And that’s an understatement.

With the aid of an overhead projector and eight carefully drawn acetates, Stephanie hopes you’ll understand why she stole, lied and betrayed the woman she loved.

The first of the Wednesday Mecca performances, you are invited to share the experiance of great theatre and live performance at the Upper Yarra Arts Centre. Gather a group of friends, arrive at 7pm for pre-show drinks then stay after the show to meet the artists and chat about the show over coffee and cake.
