A leading presence in the Australian Tap Dance Community, following the success of Red Hot Rhythm’s sold out season of ‘Rhythm Junkies’ in April 2012, the show will return to the Brisbane Powerhouse from the 6th – 10th of November 2013 for a strictly limited 8 show season.

Featuring 10 performers - a unique mix of 3 tap dancers, 3 Irish dancers, 2 African drummers, an Irish fiddle player, and a ‘Didjeribone’ (slide Didjeridoo) player - Rhythm Junkies: REVIVED’ sees the full cast of tap dancers, Irish dancers and live musicians return to push the exciting, non-stop format of the show even further than during last year’s acclaimed debut season.

The story sees the performers coincidentally booked to appear in a one-off show. As they watch each other perform, a strong mutual respect develops, and they experiment with fusing their art-forms. The result is an electric, highly entertaining show within a show, which, without a single word of dialogue spoken, relies completely on the amazing talents of the performers.

Bill Simpson, the founder of Red Hot Rhythm, and creator and choreographer of Rhythm Junkies, says: “We feel so privileged to have been embraced so well by our home city of Brisbane, and are thrilled that our audiences – young and old – love the work that we present so much to demand a return season. At the end of the day, we just want to provide the audience with a performance experience that they’ll thoroughly enjoy and engage with, while astounding and amazing them at the same time.”

Based in Brisbane, Australia, Red Hot Rhythm are known for their unique collaborations across art-forms and lightning fast tap dance. They have performed throughout Australia and the world, and in 2008, were invited to perform alongside the world's best at the Melbourne International Tap Festival. In 2009, Red Hot Rhythm performed their 'Tap VS Irish' act on the nationally televised TV show Australia's Got Talent, for which they reached the grand finals, and were Australia's top dance and group act.
