To mark the 150th anniversary of Bayer, an interactive exhibition showcasing scientific innovations has been touring the world in 2013 – touching down in some 30 cities worldwide including London, Berlin, Mexico City and Shanghai. The appropriately titled ‘Science For A Better Life’ exhibition will be on display at the Hordern Pavilion from November 11th to 15th, with opportunities for both schools and the general public to pop in and immerse themselves in all things science.

The multimedia travelling exhibition combines both playful and informative elements to showcase how science and discovery benefits our lives. This large scale exhibition (size) represents Bayer’s research and development areas, and comprises 21 letters – spelling out Bayer’s mission of ‘Science For A Better Life’. Each letter focusing on topics of healthcare, agriculture and high tech materials such as A for ‘Aspirin’ and E for ‘energy-efficient mobility’.

The concept of the exhibition combines entertaining elements with educational ones to encourage visitors to interact with the displays. Within the exhibits – microscopes, thermal imaging cameras, digital games and many more features – are designed specifically to be touched and tried out. The imposing letters are two metres high and display hands-on, real life examples of scientific research and inventions that improve the quality of life for consumers worldwide. Displaying the areas of scientific fascination, restless curiosity and inventiveness that makes Bayer truly unique.
