SEED Residencies are a staple STRUT initiative, for research and creative development of new projects by Western Australian independent contemporary dance artists. The residencies are designed to support a fertile environment for the creation of new dance work.
In 2013, the following new projects by WA dance-makers are being supported as SEED Residencies:
Divided by Jo Pollitt
Dark Matter by Praxis
Borderlines by Aimee Smith
The April Project by Unkempt Dance
All four SEED recipients will describe, promote and present excerpts from their respective projects during a free one-hour presentation entitled SEED Focus. This is a rare opportunity for the public to witness the process behind creating new works and engage in a dialogue with dance artists.
SEED Residencies are supported by the State of Western Australia through its Department of Culture and the Arts.
