The harp is the most captivating and irresistible of instruments. Imagine then, seven harps playing together in heavenly consort! The beauty of the harps’ visual form and the graceful gestures of the harpists combine with the enchanting sound of this most ancient of instruments to transport the listener away from the everyday.

SHE, the Seven Harp Ensemble is an exciting and enchanting ensemble with a diverse repertoire including many newly commissioned Australian works as well as audience favourites. The group brings together graduates of the Australian National University under the direction of world renowned harpist, Alice Giles.

Highlights of the 2013 Tour include works by Australian composers Andrew Schultz, Mary Doumany, Ross Edwards, Larry Sitsky and Martin Wesley-Smith, with popular classics by Handel, Salzedo and Dowland.
