Melbourne's electro-pop charmers, Strange Talk, announce a national tour in support of their hotly anticipated long-player 'Cast Away', released today through Fine Time / Sony Music.

'Cast Away' was produced by the band in their Melbourne studio and mixed in Los Angeles by Tony Hoffer (Beck, Temper Trap, The Presets). From rave drenched anthems, to big tom dance floor bangers, and minimalist ballads, 'Cast Away' is a take-no-prisoners musical escapade, 11 musical slices of forward-thinking electro-pop goodness.

Strange Talk - frontman Steve Docker, producer/DJ/bassist Gerard Sidhu, Travis Constable (drums) and Gillan Gregory (guitar) - are already well on their way to making their mark, both in Australia and beyond. From hitting the #1 spot on Billboard's Uncharted chart, to wowing crowds for New York City's CMJ Music Marathon, to shooting high-end videos in the depths of the Mojave Desert. Their original tracks and their sought after remixes have dominated the upper echelons of Hype Machine charts for the past 18 months.

In the live forum the band has already joined the stellar ranks of national festivals including Parklife, Stereosonic, Future Music, Soundscape and Falls; as well as opening for the likes of Rapture, Neon Indian, The Presets and Marina and The Diamonds.

This March and April sees Strange Talk head out around the country showcasing 'Cast Away' in its entirety. They're pleased to announce that on this run they'll be joined by artist-on-the-rise Phebe Starr, who's 'Alone with You' smashed across indie airwaves late last year, and Unearthed favourites, Brisbane four piece Pigeon. Strange Talk will also playing festival Wollongong, Perth and Bathurst, and DJing in Adelaide and Mackay.
