Susan Clarke has studied in sculpture and exhibited her works at the prestigious Beaver Galleries, Canberra, with some of her works going to Japan and America. Her sculpting career ended with the growth of her children and by entered the ‘normal’ workforce again. Around three years ago there was a crossroad in Susan’s life; one that led her to further develop her passion for beautiful, vibrant colours and to painting.

She now exhibits and sells her paintings at the Old Bus Depot Markets in Kingston every Sunday.
The artist was asked why she paints, and that’s what she has to say, “I paint to emphasise the beauty in the many vibrant colours in our world. To reproduce these beautiful colours onto canvas is very satisfying and somewhat demanding. Colour can be a powerful accessory to one’s personality; in the same way that your home, room, or work décor suits you and what you wish to portray about yourself.

“My goal is to use my creativity to inspire you to feel relaxed, invigorated, happy and special when viewing one of my paintings. My paintings are created to enhance your current/future furnishing and give them that wow factor. If I can achieve this through my artwork, then this is the greatest gift an artist can ever receive.”

All displayed art work for sale. This exhibition is brought to you by MyGalleria, Agent for Affordable Art. For all inquiries please refer to renate@mygalleria.com.au.
