Teale Jakubenko is about to embark on his first album tour since releasing his independent EP, Titled Good Times Start Right Now, which features the singer-songwriter’s distinctive sound - modern pop/rock, with a soulful edge.

Teale won fans over during the 2008 series of Australian Idol, making it to the final four performers.
Since then, he has gigged regularly in Australia and overseas, alongside globally recognised bands including Good Charlotte, Evermore and Thirsty Merc, at large sporting and charity events.
He recently completed a successful song writing tour, where he collaborated with renowned artists such as Southern Sons and Small Mercies.

2012 was a highlight year. Teale wrote and recorded his new EP, formed an acoustic trio and married his childhood sweetheart. Growing up on the Gold Coast, Queensland, he was the fifth born in a family of seven boys and spent most of his time singing and playing guitar, while his brothers kicked the footy. At 14, he performed for the first time as part of a four piece vocal group and shortly after recorded his first self-funded, 12 track original album titled Fly Away.

By the age of 18, he had finished his second self-funded album, Under the Sun, and was a regular solo performer around the Gold Coast music scene. It was during this time Teale got his first big break, signing a management deal with the established management company, Phantom 4, located in San Francisco.

As he continued to gain recognition, he decided to try his luck on Australian Idol – catapulting him to the national music stage. Five years on, Teale says he has connected with his true music style, setting the foundation for his new album and the attitude that more, Good Times Start Right Now.
