Grammy Award winners, guitar-slinging royalty, individual award-winners in their own right... and husband and wife! Susan Tedeschi and Derek Trucks front their Tedeschi Trucks Band – an 11 piece overflowing with talent and familial harmony: all having worked alongside each other in the TT core bands: Derek Trucks Band, Susan Tedeschi Band, Allman Brothers Band, Eric Clapton‘s Band.

Following his awesome slide-guitar work with The Allman Brothers to his position for over a year as Eric Clapton’s featured soloist, Derek Trucks became the youngest musician to make Rolling Stone’s “Top 100 Guitarists of All Time” – and the only one in the Top Twenty under the age of 50!

Susan Tedeschi burst onto the scene with her breakthrough album ‘Just Wont Burn’ which earned her a Grammy nomination for Best New Artist in 2000. She followed with a 2003 Best Female Rock Vocal Performance Grammy nomination for Wait For Me and her 2006 Best Contemporary Blues Album Grammy nomination for ‘Hope and Desire’. Arguably this generation’s greatest female blues guitarist/singer, Susan Tedeschi is an exceptional blues guitarist, possessing an awe-inspiring vocal prowess with an ability to dig deep and deliver powerful R&B belters or wrap her voice around a gentle ballad.

Their first TTB album, Revelator in 2011, earned the band the Grammy Award for Best Blues Album, debuted on the Billboard Top 200 chart at #12, and brought both artists to their highest first week sales and charting of their careers.

Their sophomore album Everybody's Talkin', a double-disc set released in May 2012 came out of a series of 12 live performances containing a spirited blend of originals and vibrant covers. It debuted in the top 25 of Billboard's top albums chart and has maintained a top 3 position on the best-selling blues albums chart since its release.

The Tedeschi Trucks Band returns to Bluesfest and sideshows in Sydney & Melbourne as do their very special guests Trombone Shorty & Orleans Avenue.

Troy ‘Trombone Shorty’ Andrews and Orleans Avenue (TS&OA) stir together old-school New Orleans jazz, funk and soul, laced with hard-rock power chords and hip-hop beats which has led to rave reviews wherever they play. TS & OA haven’t stopped touring since their roof raising performances at Bluesfest in April 2012, their multiple sell out shows in Sydney and an almost sell out performance at the Corner in Melbourne.

Their latest album For True features Kid Rock, Jeff Beck, Warren Hayes and Lenny Kravitz. The album debuted at #1 on Billboard’s Contemporary Jazz Chart, and remained in the top 5 for over 50 weeks, and helped him to the Best Male Performer Award at the Big Easy Music Awards. He is the most awarded artist in Offbeat Magazine’s 2012 Awards with six wins including Artist & Album of the year.

This lineup will probably never be repeated!
