Perth is set to experience an injection of colour like never before when over 200 international and local tattoo artists take part in the Australian Tattoo and Body Art Expo being held for the very first time at the Perth Convention and Exhibition Centre from 6th to 8th September 2013.

Making his way from Vancouver to take part in the Expo will be renowned tattoo artist Billy DeCola, who starred as an apprentice under Ami James in the hit reality TV show NY Ink.

Local studios taking part in the action include Perth’s Primitive Tattoo, Morley’s Artful Ink, Wanneroo’s Abandoned Art, Busselton’s Elite Tattoo Studio, Bayswater’s LA Tattoo, Como’s The Ink Garage, Mandurah’s Notorious Ink, and Osborne Park’s Reilly Tattoo and Emerald Ink.

International artists travelling to the Expo include Jennifer Neoh and MC NG from Malaysia’s Skin Nation Tattoo, Lius Ada from Bali’s Ada Tattoo Studio, Ra from Thailand’s Decorate Tattoo and Piercing Shop and Japanese studio, ToMs Tattoos.

Over the three days, the Expo will feature a jam-packed line-up of entertainment and performances including live music, daily tattoo contests, cabaret, acrobatics and burlesque from Perth’s premiere burlesque troupe Sugar Blue Burlesque.

Celebrating everything retro and rockabilly, the Expo will also feature a Pin-Up pageant presented by Stealth Photographics and a Vintage Market complete with over 70 market stalls selling clothes, home wares, jewellery and collectables.

Rounding out the Expo will be the car and motorcycle display showcasing the latest Ducati and Harley-Davidson models, a Sailor Jerry Bar complete with old-school spiced rum and a Kid’s Corner to keep the little ones entertained with face-painting, airbrush tattoos and family games.
