Fat Kid Films are dedicated to bringing progressive and thought provoking films to the Australian cinema. In order to achieve this, we need your assistance. You are invited to become part of the development process of our upcoming feature, The Dream Children, by attending our free test screening. The event will consist of a screening of the current cut and a subsequent questionnaire. The film is currently in the final stages of post-production and your valued opinion is an important step in bringing this film to completion.

The Dream Children is a haunting and provocative film about Steven Evans, a troubled TV personality who struggles to find meaning in his life in the face of the superficial world he has created. Smothered by celebrity + materialism, Steven's only respite is through solitary visits to the ocean + shallow sexual encounters with the acquaintances that orbit his life. When his long-term partner hurls him headfirst into fatherhood, Steven's initial reluctance is gradually replaced with love, as he discovers, in his new family, a bond stronger than any he has experienced before. But the return of an unexpected visitor triggers off a series of events that thrusts Steven and his family into a vortex of loneliness, self-destruction and grief.
