Seraphim Trio explores the multi-faceted sound world of Maurice Ravel.

Ravel Jeux d’eau
Ravel Sonata for Violin and Piano
(interval)
Benjamin Martin Cartoon*
Ravel Trio

*Premiere

Seraphim Trio pays tribute to the great illusionist, Maurice Ravel, in a multi-faceted recital showcasing his classicism alongside his impressionism. This rare concert offers the opportunity to hear Seraphim in different configurations: as solo piano and string duo, before regrouping as a trio after interval. Seraphim also premieres a new work by Melbourne-based composer, Benjamin Martin, inspired by the concept of the Cartoon, before concluding with Ravel’s ravishing, sensuous piano trio.
