Come and be part of this year's Long Walk and get the lives of Indigenous people back on the national agenda.

It's a free community celebration at Federation Square, continuing with a walk down to the MCG. To participate in the walk onto the MCG, you can get a Dreamtime Membership and raise funds.

The Long Walk started in 2004 when Michael Long, a celebrated Indigenous AFL player, walked from his home in Melbourne all the way to Parliament House in Canberra to highlight the issue of racism in sport and the plight of Indigenous Australians. He was joined by many Australians on his journey to Canberra and met with the Prime Minister and now the Long Walk is an annual celebration taking place in cities all over Australia.
