An insightful journey from Snapper Rocks to Kirra. Not many can surf it, but everyone can walk it.

The Longest Wave Coastal Walk commences at Kirra Hill Community Centre, from where participants are bussed to Point Danger. The Longest Wave Coastal Walk takes us on an insightful historical journey from Snapper Rocks to Kirra following in the wake of Damon Harvey’s historic ride, the length of the so-called Superbank in 2002. Join internationally renowned surf writer Tim Baker as he guides you on this entertaining three kilometre walk along the spectacular Coolangatta foreshore.

Along the way, learn about the local folklore, legends, colourful characters, and hair-raising escapades that make this the most storied strip of coast in Australia. Local surfing identities, artists and musicians will greet you as you travel the length of Damon’s wave by foot.
