The Midnight Mules catchy brand of Indie Rock is played with such fervour that it lead Under Beat radio co-host Tamara Birt to say "you perform like a metal band". Something The Mules hold in high regard is definitely their live performances, playing every single show like it could be there last. Empire of Perth describes The Mules "...powerful tunes..." as " the spirit of rock, with a touch of metal and singer song writing", also making a comment on front man, Tom Mantles "...facial expressions" which portray the emotion behind each word of every song. Peter Barr of RTR, during an interview for his highly popular breakfast show said “There is an Englishness about your sound which we haven’t heard for a while!” this clear reference to the bands brit-pop roots combined with the larrikinisms of The Mules and you have a fun filed, loud and rowdy outfit ready to pleasure your senses, how's it all going?
