Jack High Room
7:30PM Sami Shah: I, Migrant

Pakistan’s first stand up comedian, Sami Shah has been delivering punchlines from the front lines of the War on Terror for 8 years.

Now, after relocating to regional Western Australia to satisfy his crippling addiction to meat pies, he bring a show about the motivations that drove him (some might say "pushed") to a small Australian town, the challenges of suddenly finding himself as a stay-at-home dad and what terrorism is really all about.

This is a show all about the unsaid, undiscovered, undocumented and undescribable (I know it's not a word but I liked the alliteration dammit!) things about the modern immigrant experience.
Sami Shah has been profiled on Comedy Central, NPR’s The World, Laughspin Magazine and performed on the BBC Asian Network and for TEDx.

"A masterclass in comedy.” - Chortle UK

"Brave, pertinent, important and funny." - Meera Syal

9:00PM Dayne Rathbone - It's Me Dayne
Winner TripleJ Raw Comedy 2011

Dayne is perhaps the most original and exciting young comic in Australia. "Its Me Dayne" is an unimaginably funny, ridiculous voyage into the workings of his unusual mind.

“Truly original.” – Chortle

"[ItsMeDayne] was the most bizarre and hilarious hour of my life." - Jarrod Partington
