Who can forget Samuel Taylor Colleridge’s haunting introduction to his masterpiece, The Rime of the Ancient Mariner?

It is an ancient Mariner,
And he stoppeth one of three.
`By thy long grey beard and glittering eye,
Now wherefore stopp’st thou me?’

Come along to hear the Poetry at SMSA group give a dramatic reading of The Rime of the Ancient Mariner, on 13th November, 216 years to the day that Coleridge began writing this epic poem.
