Nicholas Ng, Julian Wong, and Anna Yen present a fusion of traditional and contemporary Chinese music and movement.

Following the success of their Woodford debut, Queensland Conservatorium’s Nicholas Ng (artistic advisor to the BrisAsia Festival) and Julian Wong come together in an evening of traditional and contemporary movement and music with Brisbane-based performer Anna Yen.

A performer, movement teacher, theatre maker and director, Anna is known for her acclaimed one-woman show ‘Chinese Take Away’ and its film adaptation, which toured to festivals in Asia, Europe, Australia and USA. She is currently working on The Serpent’s Table, with Griffin Theatre Company and Performance 4a.

Julian is Perth-based physical performer and musician. He was a member of the band Sirocco, which was engaged in a Musica Viva interstate tour of Australian schools (2007-2010). Julian is a member of Shaun Parker & Company and the Perth-based duo Rahu.

Nicholas is composer, performer and researcher. His music may be heard locally and internationally in diverse contexts from concert halls and radio (ABC) to museum installations. Nicholas has performed at venues such as Merkin Concert Hall (New York City), and has been commissioned by ensembles including the Melbourne Symphony Orchestra.
