Bringing you a fusion of soul, funk and reggae, Uncle Jed like to have fun and write their music with the same flair.

Made up of family members Laura Stitt and her two cousins, Shannon and Danny, this trio has over time created one of Sydney's most exciting up and coming funk and soul acts.

They’re set to take on the Sharks stage on April 19th from 8.30pm live on the main stage.

After years of writing together they’ve created a self titled debut album involving some of the most recognised session musicians in the industry.

From blaring horns to captivating strings, the album was recorded over two weeks with some of the songs written years ago around the camp fire on family holidays and some written weeks before hitting the studio.

With the band members being influenced by so many different genres raging from hardcore music to reggae and jazz, the result is a concoction of soul-filled groove delivered by an amazing voice.

“We’re inspired by any music that captures us no matter the genre. Music that can take you somewhere or make you feel something is good music and that's what we want to make,” they say.

With influences including Stevie Wonder, MJ, Bob Marley and The Cat Empire, this show is set to please even the toughest critic.
