At a Dead Maggies show you would most likely see a mixture of traditional folk instruments, flannies and mohawks delivering the maudlin tale of a convict hanging himself, set to upbeat music and a punky drumbeat. Dominic Francis sings songs of local and personal subjects, a clever songwriter he mixes dark and light stories to resounding music.

These two acts have booked a run of gigs around Tasmania to deliver their own Vandemonic Tales. From the recent loss of family members, to a ship sinking in the D'Entrecastreaux Channel almost 180 years ago. The often dark stories are delivered with a hoedown of fun and lively music.
