Walt & Mazz is a space to have a drink check out an exhibition, and lots more.

Canberra lab, a collective of architects, designers and artists, have teamed up with local cafe Two Before Ten to bring you the Walt & Mazz pop-up, named after Canberra’s original designers Walter Burley Griffin and Marion Mahony Griffin. During the Enlighten Festival Walt & Mazz will liven up the promenade outside the Gallery of Australian Design, putting the whimsical and artistic into the architectural.

Read one of Walter’s postcards to his Dear Marion describing his experience of contemporary Canberra while you have a drink at Walt and enjoy the lake vista, or engage with the story of the city through the 100+ 100 Canberra Architecture: in the Landscape exhibition at Mazz. Visitors can contribute to ‘postcards from Canberra’ by drawing, writing or sculpting their thoughts on the city, selected ones will be exhibited at the next pop-up location, culminating in a final exhibition of 100 postcards for 100 years.
