On the last Saturday of April each year, across the world, in over 70 countries, at the time of 10am, a wave of Tai Chi takes place as thousands of participants come together to practice. This year, Barooga Community Botanical Gardens will be the backdrop for our event.

Beginning in the Earth’s earliest time zone, a peaceful soothing event will unfold as it blooms around the World throughout the entire day–time zone by time zone. Gently and effortlessly the world will breathe together in a Tai Chi and Qigong relay of calm: One World - One Breath.

There are 4 purposes for staging this historic event:
- To educate the world to the profound implications Tai Chi and Qigong can offer our personal, social and world health.
- To thank Chinese culture for providing this powerful health science to the world.
- To improve world relations by joining Tai Chi and Qigong practitioners around the world on this World Tai Chi and Qigong Day, to promote and celebrate a healthier world.
- To provide a mighty example of how the emerging power of the Internet can be used to promote world cooperation and health, since most of the organising of this event is done via the Internet through the website above. Playing Tai Chi and Qigong is about personal empowerment and the internet is a powerful enabler.

Now is the time to take positive action to ensure your long-term health and well-being! Regular exercise is the best prescription to maintain and improve your health. You can do that and reduce stress by doing some Tai Chi and/or Qigong the 'Moving Medication'.
