X was more than a band. It was a musical movement political in a social sense as much as a personal sense. Hard rocking songs about repression, depression, drugs and sex were delivered without compromise. Three of the original members may have passed but Steve Lucas is determined that the legacy and the music will live on. Taking what he learned from Ian Rilen and Steve Caferio (his elders) and what he dreamed of with Ian Krahe he is now passing it on to a younger generation.
Rick Studentt has been playing bass with Steve in X music and certainly knows how to pump it out. Phil Grinder is from the 'old school' of punk rock. He is no stranger to the lack of subtlety required to pound out the rhythms that drive X music down that highway to self destruction.

X music is alive and kicking, make no mistake.
